He makes me happy…

So I have this friend that I have fallen for, he makes me really happy and nothing has ever made me feel like this before but he is a senior and I’m a sophomore and I know he doesn’t feel the same. I don’t know what to do though, when I think about him going off to college (I know which one he wants to go to and he was accepted) I get so sad and feel like I’m losing someone amazing. He is my closest friend, I tell him everything. He knows that I have feelings for him but he is scared of intimacy with people he knows, so he doesn’t want a relationship right now. I don’t know if I should try again, when I realized that at the end of this year he will be gone I started to cry. I don’t want to lose someone this amazing but I don’t want to ask him to give up his dream college to stay. What should I do?
