Is it normal?

I’ve been with my current boyfriend for 2 years and i love him so much. However, last night i had a weird dream about my ex. He took us out for a meal, and then i had this intense sex dream with him! I haven’t spoken to him since about 1 year ago. Why am i having dreams like this? I still think about him. He was my childhood bestfriend and we thought we could make it work as boyfriend and girlfriend. It never worked and i lost everything. Anybody else had this? Please help... i feel really bad on my boyfriend for dreaming something like this.
