Heartbroken

Well... I met this guy who’s two years older than me. He was sweet and kind, and really handsome. We were getting along nicely, until my friend told this guy that I fancied him. That led to unnecessary arguments and tears that I didn’t want.

We became friends again and have had on and off arguments, but we were fine in general. Recently, he said something hurtful to me which made all of my friends go crazy on him.

My friend was texting him and asking why he treats me like rubbish, even though I’m nice to him, and he said that he thinks that me being nice is all an act. That I’m doing it to gain respect.

The thing is though, he has said a lot of things to me in the past, but for some reason this has left me the most puzzled.

Any advice? The only advice that I get irl is that ‘he’s a boy’ so it’s expected but that really doesn’t help.
