Crush help?!?

I’m 14 and I really like this girl in my class (luckily she likes girls too) but I’m noticing a problem in which I’m super awkward and can’t speak a sentence to her without panicking. It’s pretty bad when I try. We’re really different, she’s really cool and outgoing and I’m super geeky and nervous and we don’t really have much in common. However, I actually tried some things she likes (like the genre of music and tv she’s fond of) and I find that I actually really enjoy them. I want to try and use them as I conversation starter but it’s still really hard to do that without coming off as creepy or stalkerish. I feel like I’m at a really awkward stage where we talk just enough that we both are fairly well acquainted with each other but little enough that we aren’t really friends. I have no idea how to deepen conversation with her without making it super obvious I like her. Help?
