seizure??

Question

Can someone or a doctor help me?? So at night either when I’m just about to fall asleep or when I’m sleeping, I jolt and it wakes me up. It’s really weird. It will happen about 2 times. And there was other times my friend told me like there was 5 of them in a row. Like my leg or something will feel weird and my WHOLE body will jolt. Sometimes it’s rough enough it will wake me up or SOMETIMES hurt. Idk if I need a scan done or something to see what it is. It’s been doing this for about 5-7 months?

That’s not a seizure. It’s quite common when falls by asleep, nothing to worry about.

lol no you aren't having a seizure. Your heart rate slows down so quickly when you are falling asleep that your brains thinks you're dying and jolts you awake.

It happens to me a lot as well. Usually when I start to dream and I am dreaming I fall or slip on something. Then I jolt awake. It is annoying lol

I have this exact thing happen to me. My friends would even point it out! It freaked me out but it’s super normal. I notice it more when I’ve had caffeine that day.

Our bodies do this thing where we twitch and jolt when going to sleep. Sometimes just an arm or leg, sometimes our whole body. I don’t remember what it’s called but apparently it’s basically like our brains way of connecting to our body to make sure we’re not dying so some weird shit like that. I read about it a long time ago.
