SO over reacting

I moved in with my SO with my two kids from a previous marriage. Everything has been great obviously we have had bumped out heads a couple times due to parenting but always seem to work it out.

Until today. The kids are 6 and 4. Well I was really sick two days ago and i couldn’t get out of my bed. I didn’t notice that the kids took anything that didn’t belong to them when i got up to feed them. Well yesterday my SO noticed his Oreos gone. After i repeatedly told him I’m sorry i will buy some for you tomorrow he kept saying not a big deal babe.

This morning I wake up to him texting me and telling me to talk to the kids about takin his stuff. So i did the apologized. But he goes on to wanting to punish them. I said ok a bit dramatic since it’s good. But what did you have in mind. His first option was selling my sons Xbox. I straight up told him that’s too much of a punishment for eating some cookies. And he was serious till i said no.

Like he legit is pissed off over Oreos guys. I have learned that what is mine is my kids. He doesn’t think that he said if i want to have my junk food then the kids shouldn’t touch my things.

So at this point I’m irritated. I offer to have them sit and write out I will not touch what isn’t mine. But he said they won’t care.

I don’t know anymore, the only thing i know is he is being over dramatic over some cookies. 😒😒😒
