Needing help decor new rental etc

Okay so we’re moving into a rental house March 1st, there’s lots to do to it new carpet this weekend, I have to go in and paint, new windows, carpets are getting shampooed. Don’t mind the holes in the wall, the people who lived there before or holes everywhere, stole doors, etc. but the house will look so much better one it’s fixed up, but what is the point of two living rooms I know obviously a dining room but don’t wanna use it as that I think the back room will be our living room. Ideas what could be the front room.
