Tips for a newly married couple?

My little sister is getting married soon and I’m putting together a scrap book for her that has pictures of her and her man and each page will have a full decorated page and picture with a marriage tip on it. ( she saw this on Facebook and said it’d be a cute gift I’m not trying to act like I’m a marriage expert! Lol) I’ve got 5 pretty good tips. I was wondering if you ladies could help me with some! Doesn’t matter if they’re long or short any would be good I need about 20 more! So help away please! Thank you so much!

always put each other first. Be willing to apologize when you are wrong, even if the other person was wrong as well.  Go on weekly dates. Uplift, encourage, and support each other daily. compliment each other every day. Say 'I love you' at least twice every day.

Make sure to always make time for yourselves as a couple, even when babies come into the picture. Remember that you have to nourish your marriage if you want a healthy, happy household!

Learn each other’s love language. Understanding when/how your significant other feels the most loved by you is a game changer. 
Example: quality time is very important to me. My husband knows this, and tries to spend time with whenever possible. His love language is physical touch, and words of affirmation coming in second. So, I try to accommodate his needs as well.

Let your spouse keep their own hobbies and interests. My parents marriage wasn't successful because my mom didn't like my dads fishing and hunting hobbies. If you try to take the joys away from a person that make them individuals it won't make for a happy marriage.

To add to all the quality time suggestions... Take care of yourself as well as your SO. If you're unhappy, then it will lead to nothing of you unhappy (and same for him). I go out to eat or to the movies with a friend every couple weeks. Sometimes, I'll stop to get us take out and I'll wait to order until I've gotten there so I can enjoy a beer while I wait. Down time for both partners is important. My husband does the same (with take out) or he'll go out to breakfast, a meal I don't care for but he loves, with his cousin almost every other weekend. Then we have something to talk about later in the day that's not work or house related.
