The recommendations are 4-6 months to start solids, so glow is correct that you COULD give food now. But it’s at the parents discretion so start when you’re ready.

My doctor said 4 months but I wish I waited til 6 months. He never even liked puréed food and we wasted our money on those baby food jars and boxes of cereals. He's almost a year and he's doing great with most table food now!

Not necessarily. My sons pediatrician recommended starting solids at 4 months. My son has been on them since and is now 7.5 months old and eats 3 full meals a day.

It used to be 4 months but it is now recommended to wait until 6. 
My health visitor said that although it is recommended to be 6 months you CAN start baby weaning earlier, my baby was ready at 4 months so I gave her baby porridge then and she now gets jars too and she’s 5 months now

They don’t need anything but breast milk or formula before 6 months, and if you wait til 6 months you can do baby led weaning, which I think is the best parenting decision I’ve made thus far.
