Engagement surprises ruined ?

A girl I know got engaged, and told me how she actually knew beforehand because the ring store called HER to tell her the ring was ready rather than him! Idk how they had her number but it got me wondering how many women stuff like this has happened to!

I knew it was coming because we purchased and pick the ring out together! We’ve had a joint bank account for years so there was no way for him to put aside that much money without me noticing. Plus I didn’t like his taste in rings. We went to San Francisco and went ring shopping and picked the perfect ring. About a month later he proposed with it while we were in Maui. I think people put way too much weight on the proposal. It’s really not that huge of a deal how it happens. What matters is that you are engaged and happy in the end.

I kept messing with my so about when he was gonna pop the question- I just had a feeling it was coming—- we live together and I found the ring box in his sock drawer when putting away laundry! It was an OMG 😲 This is happening- moment. I quickly shut the drawer and didn’t look.. it killed me waiting around until he finally asked.
