Croup

So my son has croup and a double eye infection he's 15 months . He just got over croup around Christmas time! This time his cough is pretty bad keeping him and I up all night it's exusting. My question is should I stay up and monitor him tonight? is he going to be ok will he stop breathing. every other night I turn the baby monitor off and we both sleep peacefully but last night we didn't know what he has so I kept the volume up so I could listen and watch him all night I got maybe 2 hours of sleep. I don't know what to do tonight!!! Momma's help me get a little piece of mind
