Age gap. 10 years. With a teacher...

As a junior in high school, I fell in love with my English teacher, so much that I asked for his number and he gave it to me. Things were great at first we would talk non stop and hangout and he was my first. As senior fame he started getting worried that people would find out about us (yes I know it’s illegal please don’t remind me). So we decided to end things at least until I would graduate. I would still visit his classroom but we didn’t talk as much which really hurt me. Later I found out he was talking to another girl someone age appropriate for him. When I asked he assured me it was nothing and that he only want to be with me. But again we don’t talk or text as we used to and I feel like he has a better connection with this new girl than he did with me.

I still love him very much but I don’t know if I should give up and move on (I’ve tried it. It’s hard) or just wait the year and hope that time is all we need
