Military Moms?

Question

Hello there! So, I'm seventeen and curtently getting ready to (hopefully) jpin the National Guard. I want to go on the ROTC and then serve in the army, then get my graduate school done and be in the Veterinary Corps. Anyway, this is a question for all the mommas that have/do serve in the military. How did/does it affect having a family? It may seem silly for me to think of this so young, but I've wanted to be a mom since I was young.

Good for you! I was in the Navy for 4 years where I met my husband after just turning 19. He had a daughter already as he was 26. We ended up having a son and 4 miscarriages together while we were both serving and both of us were going to college. We now have 4 children together and are both teachers. I was 20 when we had our first son and I also always wanted to be a mom. I'm 27 now and I can tell you that going to college, working full time, and raising children is not easy but I'm about to graduate with my Master's Degree in 3.5 months and we have had no family here ever so it can definitely be done. I say enjoy your time and when it happens, enjoy the ride! Focus on your career for now and let it take it's path. Good luck to you.
