What’s the context? If someone is like “age is just a number, I’m as heathy at 30 as I was at 20”, I’d agree. If they’re like “age is just a number so it’s okay to be a pedophile”-how about not.

I don't care if it's legal, you'll never convince me that most relationships between 18-19 year olds and 35-40 year olds are healthy. I see posts about them a lot on glow, and the majority seem to have a controlling, even coercive aspect to their relationship.

Age is a measure of time. 
Time where people have been able to grow, mature, see more, do more, experience more, struggle more. 
I think it’s naive to pretend like age is irrelevant or unimportant

For me, let’s say one of my future children have a long time friend, someone who is about 2-4 years older than them, they went to school together, grew up together and eventually became bf and gf. Later one of them turn 18 while the other is still under aged. That’s not an issue for me. Let’s be real here that’s COMPLETELY different than some random “adult” having feelings for a 16-14 ur old.

I think there are limits. Some times a large age gap 10+ years makes it hard to relate and understand some one. My parents were 15 years a part and it didn't workout because they were always on a different level of maturity.

Consenting adults can date who they wish. My personal limit has always been 5 years (SO is 4 years older) just because my parents are so young and i dont want to date their peers 👀
