Not sure what happened.

I was supposed to get my period this past saturday, friday i went to the bathroom and when i wiped i saw blood, so I guessed it was my period and went to sleep. Saturday morning when i woke up i went to the bathroom and didnt see any blood but again sat afternoon i did see blood when I wiped. Now i am basically 6 days late and i want to do a pregnancy test, but at the same time i am really nervous. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Ps. I have been trying to get pregnant for over a year and have not been able to 😭
