Do you recommend epidural?

Does an epidural really help out with the pain of giving birth or can you still feel some pain?

You a numb from the the belly down. I felt pressure instead of pain when I was having contractions. And pressure when she was coming out. Absolutely 0 pain.

It DEFINETTLY helps with the pain. I don't think I really felt any contractions after I had it. They lowered it some when it was time to push so I knew when to push and I had some pain then but that's about all.

Yea it helps when you are in labor but after years back starts to hurt specially when it’s cold look it up

I say try without and see how you do. For me, all 3 of my epidurals were a positive experience.

Absolutely recommend. I still felt some pain (“ring of Fire”) when my daughter actually crowned and came out but I don’t want to know what that and my whole 25 hour labor would have felt like without the help of the epidural.

Epidurals are Gods gift to women! Seriously though, it's amazing to have a completely pain free birth. My births were all but silent, calm, collected and I didn't have to focus on pain at all!

mine worked well with my daughter felt nothing from the waist down. with my son.... not so much. I got the epidural and it seemed ok for a while but didn't fully take on my right side. I kept feeling sharp pain in my right side. turns out he was ready. a few minutes later he was born. the pain was still dulled down some but it still scared me because I knew it didn't fully work.

I wouldn’t say no pain, I was still able to push and feel contractions by the time I was fully dilated.

Honestly by the time I decided I wanted it it took about 2-3 hours after that to get the epidural, baby was born 30 minutes after I got it, epidural kicked in about an hour after I got it. Felt everything during labor and delivery and then after was when my legs went completely dead. Didn’t even change any feeing in my body anywhere but my legs... so not worth it.

My first child. the epidural was amazing. no pain just slight pressure. My second the epidural didn't work 100% so I felt a lot more pain. My third I didn't have time to get one and the pain was excruciating BUT I did it lol
