Can you choose the sex of your unborn child?

While commenting on another post, I saw many people saying it is possible to “sway” your baby’s sex one way or the other. Personally, I believe that it’s all up to science and which chromosome the sperm carries (X or Y) so 50/50 chance! Not looking for an argument just truly curious!

That shettles method or whatever its called is absolute BS. So is the chinese gender calendar (wrong for both my kids, yes even with lunar age) 
Anecdotally- i only had sex on peak ovulation day and i am having a girl.

Why do people care so much? I would be thrilled with either a boy or a girl. Even if given the option the choose I would not.

Unless you selectively abort, or unless I'm very much mistaken about the current route gene therapy has taken, no, it is impossible to choose the sex of your baby.

Like once conception has happened? No. There are some ways to give you a better chance of a certain sex but nothing is 100% I think. Sure it’s 50/50 anyway and kids are a handful no matter the sex just let chance guide the way lol

The only way you can choose is if you have the extra money when doing IVF to do pre-implantation genetic diagnosis. Otherwise no, there's nothing you can do to impact whether you're having a boy or girl.

You CAN if you intervene. There's no natural ways to do it. IVF and sperm sorting with IUI offer that option, but I'd personally never do it.
