Fitness journey

Isabel

Just thought I’d share a little about my fitness journey!

I was always on the heavier side growing up. My heaviest in which was in high school, my junior year, I got to 155lbs, I’m 5’4”. I even wore clothes two sizes too small, what the hell was I thinking 🙄🤦🏽‍♀️ haha summer before my senior year I wanted to lose weight to prepare for prom. I started with P90X but still didn’t eat that well. I looked pretty okay for my prom, lost weight but wasn’t at my goal weight or anything but I’m proud of myself for that. Going into college I focused even more on it, I started insanity, tried to eat better but it was hard to juggle two jobs and full time school that I went down to 110lbs and I honestly looked too skinny. (Wish I had some pictures of back them but unfortunately I don’t). I tried to change it up a bit with incorporating weights and eating more and it helped! I was toning up and I stopped looking at the scale so much and just focused on my health! Summer of 2014 I had my first baby girl and I gained 35lbs through the whole pregnancy. I snapped back pretty well after, I was breast feeding as well and I tried to get back into working out but living with her dad, he was very controlling and it was tough to do anything I wanted to do for myself. But I tried

Get left, I was 8 months with my first. Middle was about 12 weeks postpartum. Far right was 2 months into a program called Bikini Body Guide (BBG) by Kayla Itsines.

It was hard to keep up with it and I eventually gave up unfortunately. December 2015 I had my second baby girl. I gained 55lbs and it was sooo hard to get the weight off.

Top picture is 6 weeks postpartum with my second. Bottom picture is about 2 months again into the BBG program. And once again, I stopped doing it. I had a hard time juggling a lot of my life back then and wasn’t determined. But then June of 2016 the father of my daughters left us. I had a hard time coping with it, I lost a lot of weight from not being able to eat and simply being afraid of him. Long story short, he caused me hell and although I was afraid of what he’d do, the day he left was the scariest yet most biggest relief and happiest day of my life. My world changed. I decided to get back into fitness, eating better, being a much better mom (bc he put me down a lot so I was just a very negative person), being better in school bc I was failing, getting a better job, I got my own car for the first time. There were many great changes but the biggest one was the one within myself. I had met an amazing man who is now my boyfriend and he helped me a lot with not only bettering myself but we even worked out together!

Top is when I started the BBG again in January 2017 and bottom is May of 2017. I was so happy to finally be able to keep up with my work outs!

This photo was the last photo taken before I found out I was pregnant! Currently 32 weeks pregnant with our beautiful baby girl and I’m reminiscing on these photos and just can’t wait to start my fitness journey once again! Kayla Itsines has some new programs added in and I can’t wait to start them!!

What I have also learned is, you may fail, and get back up and guess what, maybe even fail again. BUT there is always time to get right back up no matter how many times you fall down! You can redo over and over again and only learn and get better. Become a better version of yourself, but most of all NEVER give up! I have given up many times in my life, not only in fitness but many other things but that doesn’t mean that the next time I can’t get it right and even if I don’t, I know what I did wrong and can fix it for next time and just keep learning. Life is about learning and experiences. After my baby girl and I’m able to get back into working out I will start my own fitness page on Instagram @_bella_fit_ , I will be starting up a blog one day, I will finish Kinesiology, finish business entrepreneurship, finish many things I want to do in fitness and business and one day own my own fitness studio! I’m 23, I have a lot ahead of me and I am determined! 🤨

I hope you will all love to follow me in my journey, join me! I want to change the lives of mommas out there not just wanting to better in fitness but better in themselves!💕
