It is called Cradle Cap. Not sure exactly what it is, but a majority of babies get it and it'll eventually go away.

My son had it really bad! We got rid of it with this shampoo called Mentusse (I don’t remember how it’s spelled) you can get it at target in the baby section for like $16.
