Cot bumpers. Safe or not?

Anyone got a cot bumper? My sister used to buy for my nephews, but seen an awesome article that it can be dangerous. Any advice?

They're not safe. The mesh ones aren't safe either as they are a strangulation hazard.

We have the mesh ones. Our guy used to get tangled up in the bars and be covered in bruises. Even in a sleep sack. If installed properly, theres no logistical way they should be a strangulation hazard.

They are not safe and go against safe sleep recommendations. They raise the risk of SIDS. Try googling "safe sleep" for more info.
