Hi ladies. I’m trying to think of a cute idea to do for extended family that lives on the other side of the country regarding a gender reveal. All the family lives near each other and gathers often. I was thinking about calling in an order when I find out the gender to a bakery local to them and having them pick up a gender reveal cake to find out the gender on their own during one of their family gatherings?

Is that super weird? I won’t be there, and I’m not doing any sort of gender reveal event on my end because I’m not into the pregnancy activities and parties (fourth baby and never had a shower, never had a gender reveal, etc.) But my MIL is an absolute saint of a wonderful woman, and she gets so excited about this stuff, and I know it would mean a lot to her. Probably nobody else in the family will care much one way or the other, but I want to do something for MIL.

Can you guys suggest anything better than ordering a cake with the pink or blue frosting inside for them?
