how many times should a toddler drink milk?

my 1yr old drinks 4-5 bottles of 6oz, whole milk. eats 2 meals a day w snacks in the afternoon. how many times should they be drinking milk?

My son's pediatrician says no more then 16 oz a day. I give him a cup in the morning and I cup in the evening.

My 2yr old has 2 cups a total of 16oz of whole milk from a cup a day. She eats 2 meals and even then only finishes breakfast she gets 2-3 snacks and drinks water in between when thirsty. She only has pear juice when she is constipated and then 4oz once a day. She has never had any other juices or soda.

I was told milk is just fine. You can switch from whole milk or mix if you feel your child is getting too much fat but I really don’t see the problem. My 6 year old has always drank a ton of milk and is definitely healthy! But I would switch to a cup instead of bottle.

my kids (1 and 2) eat 3 solid meals, very limited snacks because then they don't eat meals and they each have 2 or 3 cups of milk a day.

I give me daughter 8 oz with breakfast and 8 oz at night with dinner she's 2 I had to cut back because blood test showed her iron was low and apparently drinking too much milk can cause it.... it's her fav thing to drink tho!!

Your toddler is consuming ways too much milk. My doctor told me no more than 18 ounces in a day. I give him milk twice in a sippy cup; right in the morning and with dinner and it’s only about 4 ounces. I notice he doesn’t drink too much so that’s why I only give very little, sometimes it’s even less.

I wouldn’t go crazy with the milk. Only from what happened with my 4 yo when she was that age. Puke alllllll of the time. Like ALLLL THE TIME. And usually all over us. Lesson learned fast. I’d only offer it at meals if your able to break the habit. Might take some time. The puking made me miss formula spit up 🤣🤣
