4 weeks pp bad smell??

I had to get some stitches and checked them out... they look fine and clean (I'm very obsessed with keeping that area clean before and after baby) ... I'm not bleeding anymore, now it's a yellowish discharge but it smells AWFUL ... is this normal ?

Yeah, it’s just the end of your lochia. I’m getting this too, it’s not pleasant! But as long as there’s no symptoms with it - itching, feeling unwell, etc - I think it’s normal.

I called and got checked because i thought i had an infection from the way it smelled! She told me that the foul smell was normal. It coming to an end, and it’s old blood and nasty discharge. Mine lasted to about 6 weeks. As long as you don’t have any other symptoms with it, i wouldn’t worry!

My childbirth class told me that if there is a bad smell, call your OBGYN. 🤷‍♀️
