My friend tried to kiss me but he's taken

Soo I was hanging out with my friend of 8 years the day before he left back to the army. We hung out until 1am and told me about how he was having problems because she met a new man and practically told me he gave up on his relationship. So as I was leaving g he hugged and tried to kiss me but of course I pushed him away. I mean I've never liked the girl and I think hes cute but I wouldn't want a boyfriend to do this to me soo

I see on social media that their all lovey dovey till this day and this happened like a 3 weeks ago. Should I tell herrr? 😟
