jaundice

I had a 5 day old check up with my baby girl and her jaundice levels are 18.2 they are asking me to get her rechecked and possibly admitted for treatment tomorrow morning.

How long are the treatments? I'm also breastfeeding is that going to have an effect? How common is this and does anyone had kids that over came it? Is there side effects?

Update:

She became worse and extremely lethargic with all attempts made to make her reactive. So made a risky ER trip (flu is really bad here) after pediatricians office told me that this behavior is fine-normal for her peak level 18.2 following day was 17.7 and do what I've been doing though she wasn't eating(took me 45mins for a 4min latch time), pooping/peeing, or waking up and their office 'Closes at 5 they'll see if they can squeeze me in.' then was on hold until 5 mins of 5pm...

Results of ER trip.

Overnight under light and on blanket. Soon hearing if we are clear to go home soon.

Update:

Overnight under lamp results was 13. Roughly 5am was when blood was pulled. Then no light and retested at 2pm. Levels were 11.7 and we are home. ❤️
