Is it okay to plan your own baby shower?

I'm just honestly not sure...apart of me feelings like "Well would you plan your own surprise party?" buttttt this isn't a surprise....Idk why I feel that way.

I think it’s fine as long as it’s your first baby. In a perfect world, someone else would plan it for you, but not everybody has that luxury. If it’s your first, I don’t think people would hold it against you to plan your own. If it’s your second, third, etc. I think it definitely can come off as a bit greedy though, and wouldn’t do it 🤷‍♀️ just my opinion

I was told it’s weird so I didn’t throw my own. Then nobody threw one for me so I was sol and didn’t get one. Nothing wrong with planning it yourself. Enjoy!

I planned mine because I wanted a certain theme and I just wanted to do it. I did however place my moms address on the return label of the invitation and had her listed as the RSVP person. That way it doesn't look like you are doing it all.

I pretty much ended up planning my own shower and had family/close friends help me set it up and facilitate everything going smoothly the day of. While in a perfect world most people would love to have family/friends plan it all for you--- the reality is everyone leads busy lives, have work, and families to take care of, that can make it difficult to sync up schedules and to keep everyone on the same page with the planning (and I didn't want to end up disappointed if the theme and flow of the party didn't meet all I hoped for it to be). So I lightened the load on others with the leg work, but still included all my loved ones to pull it off; and it turned out better than I could have hoped for!! 😍😍
