Miscarriage or period??

Question

So last Tuesday January 9 this happened.

It’s now January 17 and I’m still bleeding.
Here and there I’ll get really bad cramps. That hurt a lot and more blood will come out. Just like a period. 
It’s been about 8 days now. Still bleeding.
A few people said it’s a miscarriage but I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. I just don’t know.
Any thoughts?

If you had a miscarriage, your test would still show positive until all of the HcG is out of your system. I had a miscarriage last September and that’s what my doctor told me.

if it was a negative test, then it is a bad period

If it was negative , it’s probably a bad period or something else. I would make an apt with the gyn to check what’s going on. Are you on birth control by any chance?
