2 baby showers?? Stressed & need advice!!

Question

Tried looking at places to have a baby shower & all local venues are either booked (plus throw Easter in the mix), available too close to my due date or are too expensive. My mother-in-law & aunt have agreed to split the cost. I’m torn between just saying the heck with it & having two, at people’s houses (possibly one at my own). Can’t have one large one at home for everyone as it’s not a big house for entertaining 40 people & weather in April where I live is iffy at best.  Help appreciated!!

Have you tried calling churches or banks? Sometimes those places rent fellowship halls?!?!

I had two showers at two different homes. I split them up this way:
1. Hosted by husband’s Aunt, my sister and a few other ladies. Attendees were all the “older women” in my life from my home church and current church. Also we invited family to this shower. I would say about 30 came. It was a “drop in” brunch shower and went very well. 
2. Hosted by a friend. This shower was for all of my girlfriends. I think around 20 or 25 came. It was also a brunch shower. 
The hostesses paid for the food and decorations and I just showed up. I did have my husband come at the end to load gifts. Both showers were primarily eating and socializing and then opening gifts at the end. No games really. I had the showers at 31 and 34 weeks and that was good timing.

I’m gonna probably have two.  Since the father family is so big and won’t fit where I currently live and they live kinda far. Then my sister gonna do one for the rest of my side of my family

I'm having 2, but one at my best friends house and one at work for my coworkers.

I had 4 with my first. 1 hosted at my house with some work and old church friends. Another at my current church. Both of those were before my due date. I then had 1 at my mil house with their family and some other their really close friends (so close they could be family kind of people). The last was at my moms house with my family. The family ones were more meet the baby about 2-3 weeks after baby was born.

I had to have two just because our families are at least an hour from each other. so I had seperate family showers and people from both sides helped plan them.  i ended up having them at an American legion and a firehouse.  they are much cheaper than most places and plenty of room to fit everyone who came to both.
