How long after a break up until you date again?

So I was dating this guy a few years. Last 6-8 months he’s hella distant and douchey. Turns out he was cheating on me. I kinda felt like I was single for the last few months anyway. But we were totally done 2 weeks ago and I moved far the hell away. I had drinks with this awesome guy since I moved here and I’m really kinda into him. BUT I’m scared it’s too soon? I feel weird jumping into something else right away....that usually not how things go for me. So what do you think? How long should you wait after a break up to start dating again?

There's no rule to when you should start dating again. I think it's best to go by this- if you feel healed from the break up and you feel like you're ready to venture out into the dating scene again, then do it! I only day healed from a break up because you definitely don't want to bring any negative past feelings into a new hopeful relationship.  I wish you the best of luck 💜
