Any babies severely congested?

My daughter has been congested since December. On December 28th, I took her to the emergency room and they said she has RSV. Her symptoms remained the same minus no fever. I have tried everything. Hot shower steam, saline drops, cleaning her nose all day, humidifier, Vicks rub, also positioning her bed up a little so she doesn't lay flat. She isn't clearing up one bit. I feel hopeless! I just followed up with her doctor as I was concerned about her lungs, she said she sounds perfectly fine. She told me to visit an ENT specialist, see what they say, and if they say she's fine and she is still congested, we will try to put her on amoxicillin. Has anyone been through this? Maybe give me some insight on what finally cleared your child up? My heart aches for my baby.
