Dairy before 12 months?

I have a two years old boy who never had dairy before he was 1, I did BLW with him, now I have an almost 7 months old girl and I'm trying to do the same, but the last two days I did pancakes and I gave her a few bites, the pancakes had buttermilk and eggs, this morning I did waffles and again I gave her some, she mostly played with them. It is safe to keep doing this or at least once a week? she hasn't had any reaction to the eggs or milk.

It’s perfectly safe. She can have dairy products. Just don’t give her milk to drink. This is not because the milk it self is bad, but because then there is a chance she might drink that, and not have her breast milk/formula. And she still needs those.

We did BLW as well. My girl was having cheese, yogurt, butter from the start. She’s 14 months now and perfectly fine.

My son didn't swap his formula for cows milk until after one, but he had plenty of dairy products before one. He ate lots of cheese, yogurts, a bit of ice cream etc. I think it's more to do with them filling up on milk rather than their formula! But then someone told me they can't have strawberries, fish and peanuts before one but our son had all of those by 7 months!

Dairy is fine to use in cooking. As are eggs, you've just got to make sure they are fully cooked and not runny. We've been offering our little one cheese and baby yoghurt since six months old (I just pick the one with the least sugar) The recommendation is do give full cream milk and to not swap from formula/breast milk to giving while sippy cups of milk until after 1 year.
