Are there any good men out there?

Guys I need facts. I need proof. Somebody please please tell me there are good guys out there. I’m a senior in college and burnt out my the amount of shady guys I’ve met. They either act mean and try to get your attention or only help you when they want something. It’s so stressful because I have no positive male influences in my life.

I’m so sick of being treated badly by my male friends and father. I need a dose of what life would be like if I had a decent human being as my partner.

Date older. 36+ I met mine on match.com don’t even entertain the thought of dating someone unless they have a job, their own place, their own vehicle (unless you live in a city and don’t need one) and pay all their own bills. The problem is that you aren’t dating men. You’re dating boys. Raise your bar. You’ll find an actual man.

In my experience, you pick your poison. No one is perfect so you find someone who compliments you with characteristics that you can deal with.  Someone being a neat freak might be a deal-breaker for one person and a blessing for another. Even then,  no one is going to compliment you perfectly so you power through the things that cause conflict and love each other anyway. But yes there are men out there who are loyal and kind. They might be obnoxious or imperfect in their own ways but that's when you decide if you love them enough to be with them even if they are never perfect.

I have been lucky enough to have good men in my life. My dad was a good man and really showed how a woman is to be treated. He loved my mom more than anything and it really showed. I myself am married to a wonderful loving man. He was raised by his grandparents. His grandfather is also a great man. We just have to remember that while there are many "fish" in the sea not all of them are keepers. The way to find a good man is to know your own worth and not compromise that.

i tried the online dating thing.  most of the guys i 'met' on the sites were either looking for side action or just looking to add another notch in their belt.   i did meet some guys that genuinely wanted just friendships, but they were married and for reals just wanted conversation, perfectly wife-readable conversation.   most of the other guys, within a week or two, were asking for 'sexy pics' aka nudes.  only one guy never did.   i married him.   the good guys are out there.  you just have to be super careful and super cautious and weed out the bad ones. there are definitely a lot more bad ones than good ones, but there are still good ones out there.   i found mine at 37 years old.  stand firm in how you expect to be treated by a man.  the good ones will live up to that expectation.

My husband is amazing! He totally came out of nowhere and swept me off my feet. He’s so supportive of everything I do and I love that we laugh about anything and everything. We did compromise on a lot of stuff.
