Getting him tested ...

I’m dating a new guy, I trust him completely. We’ve talked about our past sex lives with each other but before we have sex I’d like him to get tested. Is this rude of me to bring up to him? I personally don’t wanna catch anything and I’m willing to also get tested just so he doesn’t feel like I think he’s dirty or something. We aren’t have sex yet but the topics come about. What do you guys think ?
