IUGR baby length growth

I was induced last month at 39 weeks due to IUGR. Baby was born 5lbs 8oz, and 18.5 inches. At her one month appointment she caught up a lot on her weight, now at 7lb 12oz! But she only grew half an inch and is now 19 inches. I know she is really short seeing that the avg length of babies at birth is 20in, so she isn't even there yet. like most FTM I am struggling to adjust to this new life and don't get time to eat well. I sometimes go 18 - 20hrs without eating between dinner and breakfast. DH is blaming me that she isn't growing taller because I am not eating well, (even tho she is gaining weight). I have not lost any weight since 3 weeks postpartum. I am currently 5 weeks postpartum. I am EBF.

1) does the quality of my diet effect her growth?

2) anyone else have babies who had poor growth but caught up in next few months?
