Just diagnosed with MS

So I am 6 weeks postpartum and on Thursday I noticed my eye sight was decreasing. It continued to worsen (ALOT) and I started seeing double of everything. I went to the ER last night and it was confirmed I have MS. I started my first round of steroids last night and will continue them for the next 4 days. The neurologist said I should regain all sight in 3 weeks. I’m just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and if it took that long for you regain all sight? I’m so new to this and I see that it seems to be super common but still scared and in shock still! Are you on constant meds? Do you have occasional flare ups still on the meds? My mom has a friend who has it and can’t walk anymore so that’s what my head goes to! I’m 28. Granted the lady I know has had this for a long time and I’m sure Medicine has come such a long way...thank you all in advance!
