Haircut / Trim 😫

Hi ladies, so my baby girl is a couple days away from being 4 months old and I really want to get her hair trimmed but everyone is telling me not to. The thing is she’s got a mullet thing going on. The top is short the back is long and the sides are long but it’s all at uneven/different lengths. I want to get an even trim so it can grow out nicely. But my mom said I shouldn’t cut it because eventually all the hair will “catch up” and grow evenly. And my friends say you shouldn’t cut a baby’s hair before they turn 1 because it’s “bad luck” or because “she won’t be able to talk when she’s older” So my question is have any of you trimmed your baby’s hair (girls and boys)? How old were they? Or what is your experience with your little ones hair growing out? 😭
