Weird period??

Okay so first of all my period was late, so i thought i might be pregnant, then when i got my period it was really weird. Like instead of being red like it usually is, it was brown. I also normally have a medium flow, sometimes even heavy, but this time it was really light, it was mostly just spotting. Also, i didnt get any pms or period symptoms. I usually bloat, my back hurts and my boobs hurt too, but this time nothing happened. I know all periods are different, but it just felt weird, is it normal?
