Just got married in September, when is the right time??

Question

So my husband and I got married in sept. He is 29, I am 23. I absolutely love kids, and definitely want them. However, he is constantly saying “I want a kid now” but I also want us to have time to enjoy our marriage a little while. Of course if I became pregnant anytime soon I would be beyond happy, but I just wanna be sure that it’s the right thing. Some opinions could help me make my final decision. Every time we have intercourse he doesn’t pull out. He is beyond ready to have a kid and talks about it frequently. I guess I just feel like I will look bad for rushing into a pregnancy after marriage. I’m in school, work a full time job and we just bought a new house, i just have so much going on. So girls, can you help me out ? When do you know if it’s a good time to have a child?  I want the absolutely Best Life for my baby.

My husband and I got married in May of 2016 and I was pregnant with our son by July of 2016. Trust me, you won’t look bad for getting pregnant soon after marriage. But just make sure you are both on the same page. My husband and I were both 100% ready to have a child. If you feel like the timing isn’t right, or you want to wait a little bit, then that’s what you should do :)

There is no perfect time. I got pregnant 2 months after I got married and I do feel like I missed out on a few things. But at the end of the day my kids are what make my life have meaning... school and working is nice but there is nothing like having your own child. What you feel in your heart for this kind of situation is the answer. At the same time, It’s your body and a baby is no joke... waiting or not waiting to get pregnant, whatever you decide will be the right decision!

We were also married in Sept and we have been TTC since. I'm 26 and husband is almost 31. Were both established in our careers and own our home. Were just enjoying our time together in the meantime.

you should definatly graduate school and have a great job, you should also ne financially stable. i feel he should wait for when your ready .

We’re in the same boat- only hubby wants to wait and I’m ready. I feel like you both need to be ready. If you’re not- don’t do it. Consider the costs of a child, childcare, time off if work you will need etc. if you’re not ready for a huge sacrifice like that take some time!

Someone once told us if we are waiting for the perfect time it will never come. We have started to live by that- with school, jobs, buying our house and so far we’ve gotten through everything!

I got married at 21 he was 24 and personally we waited for almost 4 years before we started trying. It was nice for it to be just us and pick up and leave whenever we wanted. Also we weren’t really ready, mentally and financially. When people trining is everything, it was true for us. Only you and your husband will know when it’s the right time

Take some time for yourselves. You’re young, enjoy your time together for a year or two because once a baby comes there’s not much time left for each other. It gets more hectic then what you already have going on. Wait, love on each other. Take random weekend trips on spur of the moment, spontaneous concerts, and nights out, because once a baby comes you most likely won’t be doing any of that, or doing it rarely.
