Ethnicity vs Race?

Okay girls I guess Im just confused on which is which and where I exactly fit in..I was told ethicity is your cultural background and religion vs race being what skin color you have and what you look like. im just so damn confused... First off Im adopted. and My blood father and all of his family are from mexico and are full mexican, a whole lot of speaking spanish and only a little bit of english and my blood mother on the other hand is (white) Cherokee Indian, Irish, and German. My adopted family are all white and I didnt grow up with any culture or religon. Im just tired of people marking me as white when I am indeed part mexican.

this is my Papa, my blood father..and im like a little snowflake compared to him...and then theres my full blood siblings where my sister and I damn near the same vs our brother

but even tho i look white i do have good days where i look more mexican

(add me on insta lol) but im jus fed up with not knowing which is which and what i am. any help???
