Makeup advice

I’ve just started getting into makeup. I have the pore-fessional primer

Born this way foundation

KVD translucent powder

And I use the urban decay all night setting spray.

But my face always looks powdery/cake-y

Is it the powder I’m using??? Is there a better one out there?

I’ve been thinking of trying the Laura mercies(idk how to spell it) powder but i don’t want to waste money.

Any tips?

I’ve even tried shaving my face. But I always look cake-y
