Beneadryl safe during pregnancy??

I’m 36 weeks pregnant and can not for the life of me remember if it’s safe to take during pregnancy. Can anyone help me out right quick and let me know if it’s ok to take because I’ve been itching non stop all over for the past hour or so and would love to take something??!!

I would keep an eye on the itching and definitely tell your doctor if it continues or if it is severe. As for Benadryl, it is a Category B drug, "because "animal reproduction studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus and there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women". You should consult your doctor before taking any medication during pregnancy." I think you can take it, but I've never asked my doctor.
