How long did you wait?

Last year I got pregnant and I immediately told everyone... 
It seemed everyone had something to say about my pregnancy or felt the need to input their opinions. I was so stressed out and I ended up miscarrying and it was the hardest thing we ever went through. But everyone inputting their opinions made it so much harder. So my husband and I decided to do things differently and that if we were going to get pregnant again we weren’t going to tell anyone until we felt ready. 
How long did you ladies wait to tell everyone?

We told our parents at 7 weeks, our friends at 11 and a half weeks and we are waiting until the 2nd trimester to tell our extended family which is in less than a week! 
Do not feel the need to announce it on social media to people I don’t really keep in touch with until later on.
It’s all when YOU are comfortable.

I have told close family and a couple friends. Most likely telling my boss around 10 weeks and social media announcement at 14 weeks

I announced at 15 weeks when we already had found out the gender.

I told my family and close friends at 8 weeks. I won’t “tell” social media until second trimester probably. The first time I told family and friends right away and social media second trimester. If people’s comments stress you out then don’t tell ever lol. Just pop up with a baby

My first pregnancy I mc very early at 5 weeks, we had only told our parents. The second time around we told our parents right away and then siblings after the first US (6 weeks) and then I told my close friends right before my social media announcement at 16 weeks. We knew the gender so we announced baby & gender at the same time.

We told everyone right away, but I don’t have a history of miscarriage. If you’re more comfortable waiting, don’t feel bad. Are there some people you would want to tell right away? Like your mom’s? Planned pregnancies are exciting and should be shared and celebrated. Imagine going through your miscarriage and not having some support - if your husband provides enough and you don’t want to share, then stick to that.
