Flu season

Is anyone else terrified of getting the flu? Usually I don't think much of it but I'm pregnant and I have a 4 year old and I keep hearing about all these deaths and it's freaking me out. I haven't gotten the flu shot because every time I get it I immediately get sick afterwards with what seems like a small strain of the flu. And in the 3 years I haven't gotten the shot I never get sick. Also my 4 year old typically gets the shot but he hasn't this year and I feel like st this point if I take him to the dr he will end up catching it just from being there 😩 Idk what to do. Im so scared of one of us catching it and dying.
