Car seat?

Question

What infant car seat do you recommend? I’m a FTM and searching for an infant car seat/ travel system is going to be the death of me! Any recommendations?

My best advice is to set your budget and then go to the store and try things out. Make a list of things that are priority for you. You should consider your lifestyle and what features you want in a stroller- are you going to be putting it into the trunk of a sedan often? Or taking public transport? Or will you be taking it on more adventurous excursions and need wheels that won’t jam on every single twig.
For my first I had a graco jogging stroller system and HATED it. My experience with that thing gave me insight into what’s important to me. This time around I was willing to splurge a bit to get what I really wanted.
My list -
Lightweight (car seat and stroller) 
Easy fold 
Fairly compact
Good wheels but not a jogging stroller (I found that jogging stroller wheels took up too much space in my trunk- and I drive a small SUV)! 
Darker fabric that won’t show dirt
Easy install base 
I went with the nuna system (Pipa + Mixx stroller)... I bought the seat new but bargain shopped the stroller off Facebook yard sale  to save a few bucks. Still spent a fortune but I was so miserable with my first car seat and stroller I feel it’s worth it to get what I really want out of it.

Go to the store. Find something somewhat heavy and put it in all the car seats. Whichever one you are most comfortable carrying with an extra 20lbscin is the one you get!

I have the Graco Modes travel system.  it's incredibly easy,  light, and yet sturdy.  I highly recommend

I used a graco infant seat with a jogger stroller (as a travel system). It was very nice, no complaints at all. I used the same set for my first 2 kids, but now that it’s expired, I’ve decided to try the chicco keyfit 30 (not in a travel system), simply because it’s more lightweight and narrow for my little car.

We have the nuna pipa car seat and absolutely love it. The quality is far superior to every other car seat we’ve checked out, which was all of them 😂

I rec baby trend brand. They have nice systems and are usually on sale somewhere. You can get at Walmart target and babies r us.

If you have a buybuybaby near you go there and try their travel systems out. Online everything gets confusing!

You need to try seats in your vehicle. Choose the seat that will fit the best. Not all seats for all cars.

we went with the Evenflo Symphony DLX Platinum Protection Series All in One car seat. It’s got all kinds of good reviews and it’s reasonably priced. Goes from baby up to a booster seat. We love it. It’s super easy to install and use, and our little one seems to be pretty comfortable in it. I would definitely recommend looking at one.
