yeast infection

has anyone ever had one during pregnancy. i’m currently 17 weeks pregnant the doctor prescribed the gel that is to be inserted into the vagina i’m on day 4 out of 5 but i still have the cottage cheese discharge coming out every once in a while. is that normal?
