First OBGYN visit

Hi everyone! I had my first OBGYN visit today and it went well. I am due 9/8/18! I had an ultrasound last week so my next appointment is my Nuchal Scan at 11 weeks on 2/19/18. Have any of you purchased an at home Doppler to listen to the baby’s heartbeat? I’m thinking of getting one but leaning towards waiting until after my next ultrasound.

Also, does anyone have advice for me on the NIPT (non invasive prenatal testing)? My OBGYN said to do that OR the sequential screening. I’m not sure if my insurance covers NIPT but if not he said it will be around $300.
