Yes or no to the Depo shot?

How many of you ladies have tried or currently are on the Depo shot and what were/are your thoughts on it? Side affects? Thanks!

Danggg that sounds rough! I got my first shot almost 3 weeks ago and I know this might sound weird....but I swear It’s making me sweat way more than normal. I’m also getting flushed in my cheeks at least once a day which I’ve never experienced before. I’m not sure if it’s connected to Depo but I can’t think of any other reason why this would be happening all of a sudden. It’s 25 degrees at night here and 40 degrees in the day time, why am I so sweaty??

I got pregnant on the depo last year after taking the shot for 3 years I had no periods and I had no pregnancy symptoms on it.. my pregnancy tests wasn't coming up pregnant neither was my blood tests... everyone is different I suppose but it didn't work for me .. I'm now on the pill as I find its easier for me to know what going on with my body and I can keep track of my periods.. safest bet I suppose

Ive just come off it.
Whilst I was on it It stopped my periods, i was lucky enough to only gain 8lb on it (i was dieting for a holiday during the first 3 months but i actually gained the weight during that time) most people tend to gain a lot more weight, my friend went from a size 8 to a 12 within a few months. 
It affected my mental health. I got very depressed on it I haven’t felt low like that in years. 
I lost my sex drive after a month (luckily I’m single) I literally had no interest in guys at all which my friends noticed too and said was really strange as I’m a huge flirt. 
I had constant spotting, light to medium bleeding and random days of bad cramps for just over 3 weeks after missing my last shot. It was vile. 
I definitely wouldn’t recommend it
