when is best time to have sex?

I have heard you should have sex on the day you ovulate..but then my dr said have sex every other day and not on the day. for example if I am supposed to ovulate on saturday..i should have sex on wednesday, friday, and sunday. What has everyone else heard?

I tried every other day for 8 months and nothing.   the first month we did it every day was the month I got pregnant.  Do you use ovulating strips?  once I got my positive we did it that day and the next 3 days after my positive.

You can have sex on ovulation day but you can’t know for sure when the egg will be released so you might miss your window, for best chance every second day during your fertile time is best😌
