Awkward baby shower guest

My mom is throwing my baby shower and wants to invite a family member that she’s close with but I’m not for various reasons. This person has never been nice to me and bad mouths me constantly. She’s a toxic person in my life that I have ridden myself of. Last night my mom and I were addressing invitations and she said she’s not throwing a baby shower without inviting this person. I explained I appreciate her throwing this baby shower for me but it is for me and the people that I want to celebrate with. I guess I could tolerate it for a few hours but should I really have to?
