Should people facing crimes related to sexual assault or murder be able to take a plea deal?

Do you think plea deals should be available for those that have committed crimes related to sexual assault and/or murder?

Yes. If the case isn’t a slam dunk I’d rather them get time than nothing if the jury buys the defense. Plus it could save victims from testifying. && if there was an accomplice they can get a plea deal to take them down too.

I have moral issues with plea deals because I think that sometimes they can function as incentives for economically disadvantaged people to plead guilty. But I see no reason to not let a person plead guilty and save the state money for a trial.

Yes to both. Pleas can be a fair compromise when neither side wasn’t to risk a jury trial, and they can help protect victims/survivors/families from the pain of testifying in open court.

I say yes it should be an option because it’s been proven the legal system isn’t perfect and many people are falsely accused and found guilty.

The lady that killed my uncle. Was tampering with evidence, lying on the stand, and attempted to destroy the evidence. She also admitted to driving st night with no lights, and is attempting to say it’s my uncles fault she hit him with her car and ran.. 
Fuck that bitch, and fuck the system for allowing a plea deal after that. The bitch deserves to rot in prison but will be accepting a guilty plea..

Sorry for my serious lack of knowledge but sexual assault sometimes can be when one person is over 18 and the other is underaged and they have sex, right? If this is true I feel like if it was consensual, both seemed to be right in the head, and the age was pretty close then it shouldn’t be deemed sexual assault and in that case a plea deal. If I’m wrong then don’t kill me in the comments please 😂
